The brief was "we want to make Megan feel special with the arrival of this baby, nothing too over-the-top, but something that shows we have gone to a bit of effort".

For the lunch table (tables and chairs also supplied by us) we covered it in blue table linen. We alternated two different types of blue and white dinner plates with a blue serviette. Down the centre of the table we added white pillar candles inside glass hurricane lamps and bud vases filled with dried flowers and a touch of blue in the silk dahlias.

We added boxes filled with teddy bears and blue balloons on the fire place.

The result showed thought and care, and there was nothing "cookie cutter" about it!
